FEATURED PROJECT: Intel E-Houses

Intel E-Houses

Thompson Metal Fab fabricated three modular E-Houses for Integrated Systems Group which went out to Hillsboro’s Intel location. These modules were born from Thompson Metal Fab’s experience with oil and gas work. We also did the design and engineering for these E-Houses.

The buildings were named MBR, Thermal, and Chiller. MBR and Thermal were the same size, measuring 22’x75’x13’. Chiller was slightly smaller at 18’x55’x13’.

Highlights

-These modular buildings are turn-key. They are shipped and delivered whole. All design work, fabrication, equipment integration, electrical, insulation, and paint is all done. At the site, these just need to be installed on their pedestals and they are ready to use.

-The buildings are designed to sit elevated from the ground on special-made pedestals. All wiring is run underneath the building’s floor for ease of access for the electricians. This also allows for easy transport of the buildings and installation at the site.

-Thompson Metal Fab supplied all components for installation: insulated skirting, pedestals, platforms, stairways.

-Oregon Gold Seal Approved- This is a nationally recognized building standard. These E-Houses passed the extra layer of inspection at the end of the job.
